For the shipment of the large mechanical engineering plant, suitable aircraft had to be found for the oversized transport crates (up to 580 x 280 x 280 cm) in an extensive planning process. The cargo was eventually divided between a chartered Ilyushin Il-76 of the cargo airline Volga-Dnepr and a Boeing 747F airliner.
This was followed by the comprehensive technical documentation of the accompanying documents and communication with the loadmaster. The loading process and securing of the goods were carried out strictly according to road traffic law and civil aviation law.
FREIGHT2FLY then monitored the transport of the fully loaded charter flight and the scheduled flight from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) to Charlotte Airport (CLT). Attention was also paid to the handling on the apron and to correct customs clearance.
The delivery to the destination in Charlotte was then carried out using low-loaders. Seamless shipment tracking was very important here, with all partners involved in the shipment being provided with timely relevant information. This enabled the shipment to be successfully completed, so that the customer was very satisfied with the service.
